Were just amazed that God revealed so much to this guy living out in the wilderness and pave the way of Jesus' coming. The fact that he didn't use the high priest, he used the poor skint guy that probably didn't have a house, looked in to his heart not his outer appearance. God use's who's willing to be used and not necessarily who the world would expect Him to use.

Yeah and John wasn't afraid to speak his mind to the Pharisees - just like Jesus. It would have been great to meet him!
